Farook Maya

Farook Maya is a seasoned financial professional with over 22 years of experience in Finance and Real Estate Industries. Farook began his career as an Accounting Supervisor at Citigroup in March 2001 and later served as a Senior Revenue Accountant at BMC Software. He returned to Citigroup in 2005 as a Sr. Lead Analyst before transitioning to Weingarten Realty Investors as a Regional Accounting Manager.

After his time at Weingarten Realty Investors, Farook became the Director of Accounting at Howard Hughes, a real estate developer. Farook gained extensive knowledge in SEC reporting, IFRS, and US GAAP. With his broad experience and expertise, Farook then joined Maya & Associates as CEO, where he has made significant contributions to the company since 2016.Under Farook’s leadership, Maya & Associates has seen a remarkable growth in revenue by 50% within the first year of his tenure. He has brought in new real estate clients and developed an in-house CRM tool to streamline client management and workflow. Farook has a deep understanding of mergers and acquisitions, federal and state income tax, and systems/ERP implementation. He is well-versed in the real estate industry, financial planning, and tax consultation, which has been instrumental in the company’s success.

Abdus Samad Salim

Mr. Salim has focused on Business consulting, financial analysis, and financial advocacy since 2000. He has taken care of diversified industries, including, health, education, real estate, and hospitality.

Prior to joining Maya & Associates, Prior joining Maya & Associate LLC. He has been associated with many multinational firms like, Hudson’s Bay Company (Ontario-Canada) and Healix Limited (Mississauga - Canada) as finance & accounting professional. He is a professional Accountant and holds a master's degree in accounting & Finance.

M. Kashif Iqbal

Kashif has focused on external audit, business consulting, business restructuring, portfolio analysis, internal audit, and financial advocacy since 2013. He has taken care of diversified industries including, telecommunication, retail, and real estate.

Prior to joining Maya & Associates, he was associated with Kreston International. Besides accountancy, he is associated with top chartered accountancy institutes as faculty member.  He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and also holds a Master's degree in Economics.

M. Talha Khurshidi

Talha Khurshidi is a successful and highly dedicated Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of invaluable experience in accounting, financial reporting and taxation. He is exceptionally well-versed in forecasting and investigating finance and account issues.

Mr. Khurshidi has enabled several businesses in identifying and removing gaps in their financial information systems by performing detailed analysis and delivering comprehensive actionable reports for improvement. He is also proficient in undertaking financial audits and tax planning of clients while ensuring strict compliance with tax regulations.

Mr. Khurshidi joined Mayatax in 2019 as Senior Manager Accounting & Taxation. His previous experience includes accounting & auditing firms and textile industries.

Syed Akbar Shah

Mr. Akbar has extensive work experience of management consulting, business policy, human resource management, compensation & benefits management, since 2012. Before joining Maya & Associates, he has been associated with many reputed management consultancy firms in Pakistan.

Salman Qadir

Mr. Salman is currently serving as Head of IT Department at Maya & Associates. Mr. Salman has more than 10 years of work experience and has served many reputed organizations. He is a Certified Networking Associate and also holds Bachelor’s Degree in System Engineering.

Imran Khan

Imran with over 30 years of professional accounting and auditing experience including with Ernst & Young Int’l, Royal Bank of Canada and Deutsche Bank AG, holds a vast experience of consulting and managing outsourcing engagements.

He has thorough knowledge and specialized skills in tax planning, management, and impact of international tax treaties, and has served numerous clients with financial, and tax planning.

Imran also has an extensive exposure in banking companies’ operations and regulatory matters, specifically AML regulations and Patriot Act.
